News

  • 06/25/2010 – Manuel Berberian, owner of Allegro, recently visited the Bahamas Music Conservatory. The trip's primary objective – to tend to string instruments in need of repair and maintenance – was a success. While in the Bahamas, he also trained someone based there to be able to undertake similar tasks in the future.

Manuel was able to enjoy the fruits of his labor when he attended one of the rehearsals overseen by BMC's Director, JoAnne Connaughton.

  • 06/05/2010 – A HUGE "Thank You!" to all our customers who brought in their old or used instruments for donations to Haiti. We are pleased to announce that three large boxes of instruments (including violins, violas, bows, guitars and flutes) are en route to Haiti. The instruments are being transported thanks to the generous efforts of Airline Ambassadors International. AAI is the only independent relief and development non-profit in the United States that works directly with commercial airlines to provide humanitarian aid to children and families in need as well as relief and development to under-privileged communities worldwide. This was truly a team effort to keep the music playing in Haiti, and as a result providing the inspiration and comfort that, unlike anything else, only music can.

Our highly trained and qualified instructors provide lessons in one of our four newly built practice rooms.
